People & Culture Coordinator- Woodbridge

Job description
Summary
We are looking for a qualified and reliable Coordinator to play a pivotal role in the success story of Yale Industrial Trucks Inc., reporting to the VP, People & Culture. In the capacity of a coordinator, the core activity will be to undertake a variety of People & Culture duties, incredibly fulfilling the recruitment needs of YIT in all locations, which includes identifying current and prospective staffing requirements. This role also involves managing the benefits administration of YIT. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human resources, specifically in recruitment and benefit.
Responsibilities

 

Provide assistance on recruitment activities; provide information related to recruitment policies, practices, and procedures
Respond to internal and external People & Culture related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
Perform orientations, onboarding, and update records with new hires
Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts etc
Track benefit plans, including health care, retirement, Workers Comp, etc
Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface
Respond to internal or external applicant inquiries relative to job posting
Maintain various recruitment spreadsheet
Maintain and update employee records and benefits files
Coordinate daily benefits processing, including enrolments, terminations, and claims
Advise and inform employees of the details of the company's benefit programs.
Resolve benefit-related issues and respond to queries and requests in a timely manner
Assist in ad-hoc People & Culture projects, like collection of employee feedback
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's or College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
2- 4 years recruiting experience preferred
Administrator and coordinator experience

Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Possess sound judgement and common sense
Ability to build strong partnership with cross various functional teams with the organization
Ability to navigate ambiguity and proactively identify roadblocks in the hiring process
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Note: 80% of your time will be spent on recruitment and benefit administration.
